I am into plants these days because plants are awesome. They are great for those who stay indoors a lot and are glued to the computer (me..). They do not only clean the air but please the eyes, especially after you have been coding for many hours. I will talk more about my plants in another post.

Anyway, I happen to drive by this sketchy nursery all the time and today after work, I decided to drop by. And…yeah…I saw plants that were either dead, process of dying, or extremely healthy. I realized that the owner did not really know much about plants, just watered when he wanted, and being next to a huge freeway did not  help the plants. Obviously, there was no pest control and the soil, I am not even sure what it is. Despite such adversities, there were extremely healthy plants, so strong that they seem to break out of the pot. I would not be surprised if one of the plants destroyed concrete. So I bought the two most healthy ones that fit into my car (some plants were huge and strong that it really intimidated me).

As I drove home, I thought that adversity can suck but it can also make you extremely tough and mature. In life, God often allows adversities and tests. Often we complain about such hardships and I complained a lot. But looking back now, I realize that God gave me a chance to become tougher and mature. I now know that Jesus gave me those hard times because He wanted to train me and to use me for His plan. Also, I realized that God is in control even in the harshest and toughest times and I should not worry because our good Father will take care of us. Amen.

Well, the plants are now well situated in the balcony. Now I pray that they will serve their functions, clean the air and give me more relaxation.
