I happen to run into a YouTube video about germinating a mango seed with a wet paper towel and a ziplock bag.
Since I happen to have a mango, paper towel (yes, I also have running water), and a ziplock bag, I went ahead and did what the video told me to do. I cut the mango seed open, put it in a wet towel and then in a ziplock bag and finally placed it on top of fridge (since my fridge is old and overheats).
And here is the result!

The seed sprouted in less than a week! I was afraid that the tentacles would infest my fridge and turn it into a Zerg fridge (StarCraft fans should know). So I decided to burrow it in soil (another StarCraft reference).
Pretty awesome, how a mango seed sprouts! Man, if I have not thrown all the mango seeds away, I may have few mango trees. If I only cared about plants earlier…
Anyway, I will keep you posted about the mango seeds’ colonization (I have three planted in pots).
