I love listening to podcasts. One of the podcasts that I like is Wealth Track, which interviews great investors.
Today, I happen to listen to Wally Weitz who discussed about learning from losses. I have been investing for almost seven years now. Although I learn something new everyday from the market, today, I had “Oh, wow” moment.
Weitz discusses how troubled times are good opportunity to see how management behaves. Whoa! I did not see that. Yes, indeed, it is important to observe and analyze how management reacts during turbulence and crisis. This is something that I will always be wary from now. Also, perfect timing to because we had a whole roller coaster ride in the market this year.
So today’s investment lesson. In times of trouble, see how the manager reacts and update your analysis about the firm 😀
