New York~ New York~ The capital of finance. So today I walked around. I saw so many people dressed in business casual. Ah, so nice. I like business casual. Finally, some decent in cloth. In LA, everyone’s clothing is either something you would put on when you go to the beach or extremely minimalist. Finally, some fashion that I would not be embarrassed.
Anyway, walking by, I realized that first, most of them were in a big hurry and just marched through. I experienced New York’s ruthless jaywalking and no yielding. Second, I sensed emptiness. Of course, I cannot judge by few impressions but there seems to be something missing. These people are definitely not poor unless they have a drug or gambling problem. They are well-dressed and most of them quite fit. But yet there was emptiness. It seemed like they tried to climb a mountain with no end, run to a destination that never stops moving.
I pray that they find peace and love in Jesus. Money is good when used well. Also, their talents are probably the top. Yet we all need Jesus. Jesus is the prince of peace and the king of love. If you sense emptiness, you need Jesus. Let us all pray for NYC and specially those who are extremely talented and quite wealthy. They may seem to not need Jesus but by God’s design and man’s purpose, we all need to know Jesus and follow His ways. Again, we pray for New York City and specially those who are very able.
