I rarely travel but finally I am out of LA for a few days. During the few days, I learned about LA and not LA.

  1. Where my hipsters at. LA is full of hipsters. It is a city full of too cool people. Buns, beards, tattoos, tailored clothing, you name it and LA has it. Here in Texas, well, they are hard to spot. I finally caught some buns and ultra hippy beards in a nice cafe. Yup, LA is a hip place.
  2. Nice coffee shops. I don’t know much about coffee but I like either super strong or smooth coffee. Well, in LA, they are everywhere. In Texas, there are some but they are dispersed and we need to go on an adventure. But definitely, worth it.
  3. Driving. Ahhh….traffic is the default in LA. And going 30 miles in 30 minutes is more like a dream or lunacy. But here, ahhh so nice. No traffic. So nice to drive 30-40 miles without traffic.
  4. Lots of parking. I actually don’t like lot of parking because it is not the best of use of land but in LA, we really lack parking. But in Dallas, yup, parking spaces and structures, everywhere. No more circling around the neighborhood or parking ten blocks away.
  5. Big rooms. Yeah, LA houses tend to be not so large given the exploding population and rising real estate. In Dallas, yes, real estate is rising but the homes are large. Ahhh love it. I guess it would take more time to clean and maintain it but still love larger rooms. Yes, even the closest is almost half of my room size.
  6. GREEENNNNN. I love trees. And the color green. LA is in drought and does not get much rain but in Dallas, Austin, and San Antonio so much green. Love the trees and vegetation. Also, love the rain.
  7. Churches. LA has lot of churches too but Texas’ Christianity is strong and well. Love the facts that are many churches. Of course, we cannot judge churches only by numbers and sizes but good to see churches everywhere I go 😀 I just hope that these churches really love Jesus and their neighbors ^^

Wish I had more time to see more of Texas and other areas but this trip has been already very good.

Let’s be thankful for everything and in all circumstances.
