It has been raining a lot recently in LA. The funny thing is that people are happy that there is rain so we would get rid of the drought but then again there is pandemonium in LA.
Every time it rains, it seems like a plague broke out. The streets become chaotic and then empty. Driving is a total mess. I was on Uber and the driver rushed to drop me off because she knew the ensuing chaos that would follow after some sprinkles from above. Indeed, there is a surge of traffic accidents in LA when it rains.
It is really funny how LA people seem to be more scared of rain than earthquakes.
So how do PhD students handle the rain?!
