Reflection

1 Samuel: 24: 5-6:  Afterward, David was conscience-stricken for having cut off a corner of his robe. 6He said to his men, “The Lord forbid that I should do such a thing to my master, the Lord’s anointed, or lay my hand on him; for he is the anointed of the Lord.

David did not kill Saul even though Saul wanted to kill him. David respected the Lord’s authority. I often think of all the bad teachers and leaders that I have encountered and how I would make fun of them and really despise them. But God put them there so I should really be more humble and respectable. Thank You Jesus for teaching me how to obey because after all no one becomes an authority without Your permission.

Daily

  1. Coke smuggled in Coca-Cola shipment. Oh, the irony or I guess cleverness? Thank God, they found the smuggled coke, it could have destroyed more people’s lives. But then I worry that there is probably more coke being smuggled in more creative ways. I pray that Jesus heals the addictions. Please stop doing drugs or do less of it, because it is really causing havoc not only in the communities but in Latin America
  2. Increase in BASE jumpers. This is not really surprising given that BASE jumping is really dangerous and becomes even more dangerous when you try to do stunts. Regulation will not change much. Instead, people need to control themselves and become wiser. Get more experience and be safe. You really don’t live twice.
  3. Much more kids have imaginary friends. And it is ok. Children with imaginary friends turn out to be ok and may have superior cognition. I did not have an imaginary friend but had an imaginary world, where I put all the cartoon worlds together. It was fun but eventually I grew out of it. I thought I would write stories or novels about these imaginary worlds. But my memory is fading and honestly, most of my imaginary world was such a hodgepodge of things so until I have some insight, I will pass.

US is fine

In this Frank Curzio’s episode 443, Steve Koomar talks about fundamentals. I have learned that the US economy is fine because the world depends on the US. Did not know that the US navy provides free sea protection. No country can easily replace the US navy in protecting their ships. Also, I have learned that natural gas price is closely tied to oil and any recovery of oil price will be good for natural gas. Koomar sounds awesome and I will definitely look at his research.
