Amazon wants to sell groceries online in India.
Given that the Indian economy is growing at 7% with a rising middle class, this seems like
a great opportunity. After all, middle class will first improve their diet 😀
However, India’s infrastructure needs a lot of improvement. Also, just seeing the wild
traffic in India, where a two lane road becomes three lanes shows that there are real risks (just google crazy India traffic).
However, I do remain optimistic about Amazon. Bezos is bold but careful in execution.
As an investor in Amazon, I am confident that things will work out if not Amazon will cut
losses quickly.
I will see what Amazon says about India in conference calls~
