My last post talked about coping with death. Today, we had a sermon about trusting God.

The verse was Psalms 31:14 “But I trust in you, Lord;  I say, “You are my God.”

Our pastor explained that we must trust God in all circumstances. Because we do not know God’s plan. We don’t know what is really good or bad. All we can do is trust God and obey His commands. He is a loving God. He gives the best and makes sure that we are safe under his protection.

There were sobs during sermon. But overall there was peace and assurance. As Christians, we often face trials and sometimes really difficult ones. Yet we know that God is the same yesterday, today, and tomorrow. Nothing changes. All that changes is whether we trust God more or we stray away from Him. And I say what Joshua says.

Joshua 24: 14. “Now fear the Lord and serve him with all faithfulness. Throw away the gods your ancestors worshiped beyond the Euphrates River and in Egypt, and serve the Lord. 15 But if serving the Lord seems undesirable to you, then choose for yourselves this day whom you will serve, whether the gods your ancestors served beyond the Euphrates, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land you are living. But as for me and my household, we will serve the Lord.”

Today, now my heart is at peace. I have plenty of things to do but I know God gave me more than enough and I have faith that He will be with me in all circumstances. Praise the Lord! We love You Jesus!
