So my room got infested by grain moth. I did not even know that such things existed until few weeks ago.
At one point, it got so bad that my room looked like a butterfly/ moth sanctuary. Hopefully, I did not panic. I have a learned dealing with fruit flies. See my post about getting rid of fruit flies.
I calmly got my Dyson and sucked all the flying things. I swept the walls and ceiling. And it was clear.
The next wave arrived, well hatched the next day, and I cleaned again. This has been going on for a few days and now I don’t see that many. I will still not let my guard down.
Thankfully, grain moth are not so harmful just annoying. I also learned that the larvae can travel like a maniac and stick pretty much anywhere. Man, I miss science classes. Once I have time, I will go back to studying more science. Nature is always cool.
I already taste victory. But I will be humble. They may come back.
Thank you Dyson for the excellent suction.
PS
Here are some tips on how to get rid of grain month. I also got rid of my source, a rice bag in my room that I used to strengthen my grip.
